162 Street north of Fraser Highway in Surrey will have no vehicle access to or from Fraser Highway from September 21 to October 12, 2026, 24/7. Surrey Langley SkyTrain is doing road restoration as construction progresses near the future Fleetwood Station.

What road users should know
Closure: No vehicle access to or from 162 Street north of Fraser Highway.
Hours: The access change is in effect 24/7 from September 21 to October 12, 2026. Construction activity runs Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Pedestrians: Use the west sidewalk to access 162 Street and 84 Avenue.
Alternate routes: Use 84 Avenue, 88 Avenue, 160 Street and 164 Street.
Local access: Business and residential access will be maintained. Follow signs and traffic control personnel.
Fraser Highway: The official map shows single-lane traffic in each direction along Fraser Highway through the work area.
Transit: Check TransLink for bus impacts in the area. Expect delays.
Who is affected
Drivers who normally turn between 162 Street and Fraser Highway, or who use 162 Street just north of the highway, need the signed alternates for the full September 21 to October 12 window. Pedestrians keep a west-sidewalk path to 162 Street and 84 Avenue.
This is separate from other SLS Fraser Highway notices such as 188 Street access and Willowbrook Drive / 196 Street.
