Surrey Langley SkyTrain construction blocks vehicle access at 138 Street and Fraser Highway 24/7 from July 6 to September 30, 2026. Drivers must use Whalley Boulevard or 140 Street. Cyclists and pedestrians can still use Fraser Highway paths.
Cedar Drive in Coquitlam is fully closed 24/7 from May 11, 2026 to Fall 2027 for sedimentation pond work and road upgrades. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians detour via Victoria Drive and Gilleys Trail.
Nikkei Matsuri 2026 runs Sept. 4-6 in Burnaby with taiko, Bon Odori, yukata rentals, and a new free Fun Park. Tickets $12-15; free for under 18, over 65, and members.
Pattullo crews keep intermittent overnight single-lane closures on Bridge Connector from September 1 for about a week (10 p.m.–5 a.m.). Royal Avenue on-ramp overnight closures land September 4, 8, and 9. Use 6th Street to 6th Avenue to McBride Boulevard.
Front Street Truck Route in New Westminster is closed from August 31, 2026 for approximately four months for Pattullo Bridge Replacement retaining-wall construction. Regular traffic detours to Columbia Street; trucks must use official truck routes.
