The City of Surrey announced two online tree sales for late summer 2026. Trees cost $20, and the City says each sale will offer approximately 1,000 trees on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first store opens August 18, and a second sale follows September 29. Buyers should check the City's live list before choosing because varieties differ by sale and supplies can change.
When the two sales open
The City's tree-sale program page lists these windows:
- Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. to Sept. 1: Online ordering while supplies last, with pickup Sept. 13.
- Sept. 29 at 9 a.m. to Oct. 13: Online ordering while supplies last, with pickup Oct. 25.
- Price and size: All trees cost $20. Most come in 3- or 5-gallon pots and stand 5 to 12 feet tall.
The City advises buyers to make sure their vehicle can carry the selected tree.
Who can order and how the limit is stated
The program is for Surrey residents buying trees for private properties in Surrey. The payment card must use a Surrey billing name and address.
The City's pages use three different limit statements. Its dated release says buyers can purchase two trees per sale.
The eligibility section on the program page says the maximum is two trees per Surrey address, based on the billing address. The tree-list section separately says customers are limited to two trees per household.
Those statements are presented as the City published them. They should not be combined into a larger entitlement across the two sales. Buyers who need the limit applied to a particular situation should follow the live program page.
Where and when to pick up your trees
Pickup is at the Surrey Operations Centre, 6651 148 Street. Buyers select a pickup time during checkout.
The program page says:
- Sept. 13: Pickup for the Aug. 18 sale.
- Oct. 25: Pickup for the Sept. 29 sale.
- Cart timing: Items in a cart are not held until payment has been processed.
The August list includes fruit and ornamental categories such as apple, cherry, plum, dogwood, maple, and magnolia. Buyers should confirm the current variety, mature size, and site needs on the City's live page before ordering.
