Toddlers and younger kids: Laity Pumpkin Patch North (Maple Ridge) is built for ages 0 to 6. Aldor Acres (Langley) spreads animal areas across five acres with hands-on contact.
Older kids and maze fans: Laity South (Maple Ridge) suits older children and has attractions for all ages. Maan Farms (Abbotsford) runs two corn mazes. Greendale Acres (Chilliwack) has Canada's original corn maze at about 12 acres.
Shortest drive from Vancouver: Hazelmere in South Surrey and Aldor Acres in Langley are both roughly 45 minutes from downtown.
Photo opportunities: Maan Farms has 15 photo spots in its forest pumpkin patch, including a pumpkin house billed as Canada's biggest. Taves Family Farms (Abbotsford) has a princess carriage and storybook displays.
Longest season: Maan Farms runs Sept 12 to Nov 1. That gives you the most flexibility if your schedule is tight.
Maple Ridge: Laity Pumpkin Patch
Laity Pumpkin Patch has operated for over 30 years. The farm runs two locations across the street from each other.

How to plan your day trip
Check before you go. Hours can shift. Confirm on the official farm website or social media the day before your visit.
Book ahead when required. Maan Farms, Aldor Acres, and Greendale Acres recommend online tickets for weekends. Some farms sell out popular time slots.
Arrive early. Weekend crowds build by mid-morning. If you want shorter lines for corn mazes and photo spots, aim to arrive at opening.
Dress for mud. Boots or waterproof shoes make a difference. Trails and corn maze paths get messy after rain. Layers help with morning chill and afternoon warmth.
Bring cash and a card. Most farms accept tap and debit, but some vendors may be cash-only. Pumpkins are usually priced separately from admission.
Bring a wagon or bag. Some farms provide wheelbarrows, but your own wagon or large bag makes it easier to haul pumpkins back to your car.
Budget for extras. Entry fees cover the experience, but pumpkins, food, and souvenirs add up. Expect to spend $30 to $60 per person for a full day out, depending on the farm.
