The City of Burnaby says Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival is free on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, with music running from 3:30 to 10 pm at the Deer Lake Park Festival Lawn.

How to get there
The biggest practical note is parking. The city says there is no public on-site parking except accessible parking for guests with SPARC passes, space allowing, in the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts surface lot.
Burnaby points visitors toward transit, cycling, rideshare, taxis, carpooling, or off-site parking at Burnaby Central Secondary, Burnaby City Hall, and Deer Lake Centre lots. The city lists the 144, 110, 123, and 133 buses as routes that stop outside the site, but says transit vehicles will be redirected to Canada Way and the City Hall bus loop after 9 pm.
Anyone taking transit should check their route before leaving, especially if they plan to leave after the 9 pm redirect.
Food, access, and site rules
The city says portable washrooms, including accessible washrooms, will be available at the festival. A ramped accessible seating platform is planned, and the free Bettear app is recommended for personalized audio accessibility at the main stage.
